Music: Broken Silence
Patrizia Biscu and me founded the Broken Silence in 1999.
After some months of hard work, we produced a Trip Hop covers of some George Gershwin's tunes. It was entitled "Summertime Obsession".
We gigged around, but nothing happens with italian records distribution companies. They weren't able to reach an agreement with the copyright owners and were too afraid to be sued by Gershwin Corporation lawyers.
It was a pity. Because we received a lot of positive feedback most of all from professional musicians and recording companies managers, but a chance to take our music to be known.
When I heard of Morcheeba cover of Gershwin's Summertime, I thought we miss an hit. Well I'm not try to compare my band with the great Morcheeba - one of my most favorite band - I'm just saying that Broken_Silence made a valid cover in Trip Hop mainstream.
