Audio: Red Buddha Studio
Red Buddha Studio is ... well ... is the recording studio on mine! I hope you enjoy it.
The name
The Studio take the name by a Red Buddha miniature gifted to me by two friend of mine (Margherita Fiaccavento and Adriana Lazzari) that were in a chinese restourant before to pass to visit me in my (previous location) studio.
A lot of time is passed by that moment and none mentioned that red miniature anymore. But since the very first moment it entered in my studio, Red Buddha gain his place over the Mixer and became a familiar entity for me.
At the end of the game, it was natural for me, title the studio in this way.
I think that Margherita and Adriana never suspect I took the gift in such important way, but I'm taoist and I believe that nothing happens casually. I think also they didn't even remember the fact, but I love the fact: it make so ironic all the story!
Love to them and love to Buddha, protecting me and my studio!

In order to record some "decent quality" guitar sound in my studio I cannot lean on a reverberant room, some guitar amplifier and a bunch of microphones. I live in a flat and my neighbor are very acoustically sensible!
So I was forced to adopt a virtual setting. For this I currently relying on a Fractal Audio Axe FX2, a Line 6 Pod HD 500 and sometimes also a Roland VG99 that - despite being a lot years old - has always some tricks in the sleeve. In my actual live guitar rig, I use a Parker Fly Mojo MIDI guitar. The MIDI signal goes in Roland VG99 for alternate tuning or "other-than-guitar sounds" (and then goes in the Fractal Audio FX2). The Piezo signal is treated through the effects of the MOTU Ultralite. The analog signal from guitar pickups goes directly in the Fractal Audio AXE FX2. All the signals are finally mixed by the MOTU Ultralite. |
